Il s’agit de l’offre rêvée : un poste en Marketing à fort enjeu stratégique au sein du Comité International Olympique basé à Lausanne. L’objectif sera d’évaluer les performances en termes de marketing digital de l’institution et de faire des recommandations basées sur des éléments factuels.

Le Comité International Olympique (CIO) est une organisation internationale indépendante à but non lucratif qui s’engage à bâtir un monde meilleur par le sport. Créé le 23 juin 1894, deux ans à peine avant les premiers Jeux Olympiques de l’ère moderne tenus en avril 1896, le CIO est l’autorité suprême du Mouvement olympique.

En tant que leader du Mouvement olympique, le CIO favorise la collaboration entre tous les membres de la famille olympique, soit les CNO, FI, athlètes et COJO mais aussi les partenaires olympiques mondiaux, partenaires de diffusion et organismes des Nations Unies, et s’efforce de promouvoir la réussite à travers un vaste éventail de programmes et projets. Investi de cette mission, le CIO assure la tenue régulière des Jeux Olympiques, apporte son soutien à toutes les organisations membres du Mouvement olympique et encourage fortement, par les moyens appropriés, la promotion des valeurs olympiques.

Manager, Business Insights

Your mission would be to assess performance of the IOC digital and marketing engagement strategy and drive key recommendations, supported by facts and evidence. You would increase the level of analytical storytelling and turn data into insights that are easy to understand, accurate and actionable. In addition, you would be responsible for developing the IOC data-led culture to influence the use of data to inform decision-making.

What will I do?

  • Accelerate a data-driven culture with a focus on driving key recommendations with a focus on assessing the performance of the IOC Digital and Marketing engagement strategy and implementation;
  • Drive the definition and the adoption of a common set of metrics and targets used across the organisation, in partnership with the Olympic Channel team based in Madrid;
  • Identify relevant benchmarks and context to interpret data and measure performance;
  • Consolidate information coming from different data sources, digital and non-digital, to obtain a comprehensive picture of the situation;
  • During Games-time, support the delivery of daily consolidated reports and insights to aid the IOC in discussions with right holding broadcasters, commercial partners and federations;
  • Increase understanding and knowledge of Olympics digital audience by conducting on-going social listening analysis and turning data into clear recommendations;
  • Mine data to identify compelling insights about the IOC organisation, its stakeholders and the broader Olympic Movement;
  • Design and build visualization dashboards to accelerate information-to-action at scale;
  • Increase level of analytical storytelling and deliver clear insights and recommendations to inform meaningful decision-making;
  • Develop impactful reports, memos and presentations to communicate data, results, trends and other relevant insights to various constituents in clear, compelling and cohesive stories;
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Content, Social Media, and Product teams to influence and guide their decisions and development roadmaps;
  • Provide an unbiased point of view on the digital engagement and marketing performance, supported by facts and evidence;
  • Invent new ways to define and measure programme effectiveness;
  • Establish and/or consolidate business insights partnership with Olympic stakeholders including TOP, RHB and OCOG.

What am I bringing to the team?

Undergraduate degree in data science, business, marketing or related area; advanced degree preferred;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business insights and data analysis with first-hand experience in:
Digital Data and Analytics
Mining data to identify compelling insights
Collaborating with business teams to define and implement data-led insights
Fluency in English
Good command of Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview or similar applications;
Good command of social listening tools such as NetBase, Talkwalker or Socialbakers;
Extensive experience presenting research results to executive organisational management;
Detail oriented with experience interacting directly with internal and external clients to drive results;
Confident working in and across a matrixed organisation structure to deliver successfully.
