Le rôle du coordinateur sera d’accompagner le Management Commercial du Comité come un vrai facilitateur des activités mais aussi d’assurer un suivi et un reporting de qualité au service des équipes commerciales et du pilotage business.

Le Comité International Olympique (CIO) est une organisation internationale indépendante à but non lucratif qui s’engage à bâtir un monde meilleur par le sport. Créé le 23 juin 1894, deux ans à peine avant les premiers Jeux Olympiques de l’ère moderne tenus en avril 1896, le CIO est l’autorité suprême du Mouvement olympique.

En tant que leader du Mouvement olympique, le CIO favorise la collaboration entre tous les membres de la famille olympique, soit les CNO, FI, athlètes et COJO mais aussi les partenaires olympiques mondiaux, partenaires de diffusion et organismes des Nations Unies, et s’efforce de promouvoir la réussite à travers un vaste éventail de programmes et projets. Investi de cette mission, le CIO assure la tenue régulière des Jeux Olympiques, apporte son soutien à toutes les organisations membres du Mouvement olympique et encourage fortement, par les moyens appropriés, la promotion des valeurs olympiques.

Job description

Your mission will be to support the OCOG commercial management and lead the development of the transfer of Commercial Integration knowledge.

Working alongside the Commercial Managers, this role will be split into two key areas:

Shadowing the Commercial Manager for the next Olympic Games edition

On a rotating cycle, while reporting to Commercial Manager of the next Games edition, the Commercial Integration Coordinator will assist in the collaboration and facilitation of all Commercial Integration activities within a data-driven and business development capacity. This includes:

  • The overall planning and development of the commercial integration activities to the Organising Committee of the Olympic Games.
  • Support the Commercial Integration team in the work with the OCOGs and internal relevant IOC Departments and IOC TMS functions to ensure the continuity and compatibility of their respective commercial programmes within the Olympic Marketing framework, in particular in relation to the TOP Programme.
  • Work in collaboration with the IOC TMS Partnership Management team for the integration of the key aspects of each account management plan for each TOP Partner.
  • Support the development and management of the commercial and marketing education programmes for each OCOG.
  • Support the Commercial Managers in their development and implementation of rights protection programmes.
  • Provide day-to-day assistance and solution-oriented proposals for ad-hoc projects.
  • Act as support in the liaison between OCOG and IOC TMS functions (Commercial Integration, Legal, Finance) as well as the IOC (e.g. Olympic Games department).
  • Support in the delivery of any updates and/or reports to senior management, as required.

Information gathering and Data capture

Lead the information gathering associated with the transfer of Commercial Integration knowledge from Games-to-Games, in collecting and organising reports, insights and data analyses, including but limited to:

  • The building of roadmaps and timelines associated with the commercial activities of each OCOG.
  • The collection and maintenance of the information repository for the Commercial Integration team.
  • Act as point person for any OCOG-related information / data capture.
  • Support and implement the overall de-brief activities, when it comes to post-event reporting and wrap-up of a Games edition.
  • The consolidation of any Games-time output, prior to, during and post-Games.
  • Create and support the preparation of reports, data files (past and present), presentations and materials for meetings and/or workshops, as required.
  • Support the IOC Information Knowledge and Games Learning (“IKL”) / Games Delivery teams with any updates required to Olympic Games Guides, Learning Pathways, etc.

What am I bringing to the team?

  • University degree (bachelor)
  • At least 3-years’ proven experience in a commercial environment preferably in a marketing or business development setting
  • Project management experience and certification an advantage
  • Bilingual English & French
  • Excellent drafting skills in both English and French
  • Excellent Command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of commercial awareness
  • Ability to interact constructively with all types of interlocutors to achieve set objectives
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a can-do mentality
  • Great sense of detail and analysis with solid ability to examine, understand and summarise complex information, subjects or issues
